Discussion on the application of glazing technology to printed matter (Part I)
Abstract in view of the wide use of glazing technology in printed matter in the current market, some people want to understand the types of glazing technology and the effect of using glazing, and what conditions need to be equipped for the printed matter to be polished. Nowadays, a large number of magazines and books on the market use glazing techniques, but they just want to use glazing to improve its added value and get the attention of consumers; And then get a higher purchase rate. At this time of entering the 21st century, people generally pay attention to its appearance packaging, that is, the so-called texture. Moreover, due to the rising awareness of environmental protection, the impact of glazing on the environment has been paid more attention. Therefore, what are the ways of applying polish to printed matter and which way should be the best, which can greatly increase the added value of printed matter without affecting the environment; And consumer psychological analysis is the focus of this paper. I. preface since the invention of printing, people have used printing to convey and disseminate written ideas; Therefore, the inheritance and continuation of knowledge are formed. Since then, printing has been closely related to human life until the commercial era of capitalism began due to the industrial revolution in recent years. The purpose of printing is no longer to transmit knowledge; It includes the dissemination of information; There are commercial, sports, entertainment, sex... And so on. Print media is a new synonym of the printing industry, representing the era of strong commercial color in reality; Only by changing the management strategy of the printing factory operated in the traditional way can it seize the first opportunity and occupy a place in the highly competitive environment. Today's consumers also pay more and more attention to the feeling of appearance quality. In such a market, the only way to attract people's attention is to rely on the post press processing of printing; Because of the phototropism of human eyes, glazing skills are more important. What this article wants to discuss is how to comprehensively improve the total factor productivity of printed products, how to increase the added value of printed products with post press processing glazing, how glazing can be used to guide consumers' attention, and how to stimulate consumer behavior due to attention concerns, so as to create greater profit space. II. Definition and purpose of glazing 1. Definition of glazing glazing belongs to the binding processing part of the whole printing process. It is the process of coating resin, wax oil or laminating adhesive film on the surface of the printed matter to form a film surface on the surface of the printed matter. Therefore, it is also called "glazing process" or "gloss process". With the change of materials, the definition of glazing also changes, which is not only gloss process, As long as the printed matter is coated with transparent varnish through a film, the gloss of the oil color painting will be generated after drying. Later, this method is used in the printing process or as the source of light on the printed matter. Due to the creative needs of art designers and the continuous improvement and progress of glazing processing technology, the methods and styles of glazing are also diversified. Observe the local three-dimensional glazing used by the popular domestic cultural publications for the performance of three-dimensional texture, and the processed printed products show a dazzling special three-dimensional visual effect. Its film surface can no longer be a single material, but can be compounded by different glazing materials, such as light glazing, PP glazing, UV glazing, water-based glazing, etc. it can be seen that although glazing only forms a film surface by coating laminating resin, adhesive film and other substances on the surface of printed matter, this film surface will change differently with the progress of the times. For example, glazing can be used on packaged products, and it has anti heat effect on food packaging; And commercial uses, such as poker polishing. 2、 The purpose of glazing (I) is to increase the added value of goods and make them more beautiful: glazing can make the surface of printed matter appear bright or special texture. For example, bright surface glazing can greatly improve the gloss of the surface of printed matter, fog surface glazing can give people a soft pink texture, local glazing can achieve the theme effect that the designer wants to show to highlight the surface of printed matter, and so on, Compared with unglazed prints, these processed prints have a sense of texture and advanced value, which makes people feel that the polished prints should be high-end goods, thus enhancing their added value, and providing another way of thinking and design expression for designers in the expression of design concepts. (2) Increase consumers' attention and stimulate their desire to buy: after the post-processing of printing materials with glazing technology, the film on the surface makes them shiny. It can attract people's attention and become the visual focus. With the addition of images and words, it will certainly increase the attention of consumers; So as to stimulate consumers' desire to buy. (3) Protect the cover and expect long-term preservation: glazing is to coat the surface of printed matter with laminating resin, adhesive film or wax oil to form a film surface. Add a layer of protective film on the printed matter to prevent it from being polluted and scratched, and increase its wear resistance and waterproof ability. Therefore, the film surface can naturally protect the surface of the printed matter, for example, it can strengthen or enhance the tensile capacity of the paper, friction resistance, water resistance, oil resistance, durability, chemical resistance, light resistance and the use of printing 3. The surface of the transparent granular brush is free from external stains, etc. Therefore, glazing can improve the physical and chemical resistance of the printed surface, strengthen the surface and maintain a certain quality; However, it should be noted that the strength of its physical and chemical resistance will vary depending on the glazing material. (4) To meet the needs of the special use or post-processing of printed materials: some glazing processing is for the needs of its use. Local glazing can make the printed materials more three-dimensional. For example, the printed materials processed by coating white wax have the characteristics of moisture-proof, oil stain proof, impermeability and not easy to frost when cold, so they are often used to package frozen foods such as ice cream and sugar cones. Another example is the polishing of playing cards, which not only has the basic function of general polishing and then causes the change of sensor output voltage, but also has excellent stiffness and smooth surface effect. It is specially used for the polishing processing of playing cards and other cards that need this effect. And some polishing methods are for its subsequent processing. For example, heat sealing gum polishing is to use it as "heat sealing packaged goods", so that it can fit with the soft or hard packaging outer layer after heating, and package the goods in it. III. types of glazing 1. Common glazing or resin glazing, a glazing liquid mixed with resin and turpentine, can be used for local or full coating. The production cost is the cheapest one of all glazing processes, with slightly gloss and the function of protecting the surface of printed matter. But the friction resistance is low, which is also called "golden oil" glazing. It is often used in the polishing of general cans and food packaging labels. It is generally used on printed matter with low quality requirements, or for the stability of UV glazing quality, it is used as a base before glazing on the surface of printed matter with rough paper, so that the final glazing quality will not be affected by the roughness of the paper surface during formal UV glazing. 2、 PVA glazing is made of vinyl alcohol polymer liquid as the substrate, which is heated and calendered after coating. Its friction resistance and protective effect are better than the former. Some kinds of PVA glazing solution can obtain greater gloss and friction resistance after being coated and then heated and calendered. It is one of the commonly used glazing types in China. However, attention should be paid to the yellowing or discoloration of the printed matter and the expansion and contraction of the paper. The accuracy of calendered printed matter is also affected by temperature control and the control of paper filament direction. At the same time, due to the large use of formaldehyde as solvent in PVA, it not only has a great impact on work safety and human health, so special attention should be paid to its application. 3、 UV glazing is made by coating uv professional glue on the surface of printing paper and hardening by UV irradiation, which has high friction resistance and bright effect. It also has UV resistance, so the ink is not easy to fade. It is the most widely used. When it is still made in 360 degree folding, cracking may occur without prior folding treatment. Therefore, in the selection of UV glazing materials and papers, special attention should be paid to the suitability of the wire direction. 4、 Playing card glazing, or bright surface and facade glazing, is coated with special glue liquid. In addition to the general basic gloss and the functions of protecting the printed picture and waterproof, it also has excellent rigidity, surface smoothness and anti-static effect, which can prevent the inconvenience caused by the attraction caused by static electricity. It is a special glazing for playing cards, PCC boards, PVC boards or various card backs. At the same time, because the material used does not contain lead, it is also quite suitable for the application of food packaging. 5、 The use of heat sealing resin glazing heat sealing resin glazing is due to the use of various thermoformed containers in the market, which are made of acrylic resin reconstituted liquid. Like ordinary glazing, it is coated on the printed matter by oiling machine and dried. Its surface is slightly glossy, similar to ordinary glazing, which can be calendered to increase gloss; And it can be divided into hard glue and soft glue according to different uses. Hard glue, also known as vacuum gluing, is specially used for shell vacuum packaging. 6、 White wax surface processing takes white wax or synthetic wax as the main coating. The coating method can be directly coated or heated and melted, and then one-way or two-way coating is done. The processed printing paper has the functions of water proofing, oil proofing and seepage proofing, and is not easy to frost, which cannot be replaced by ordinary plastic bags. Because white wax is non-toxic, it is often used in the packaging of refrigerated food. The impact resistance of the printed matter is poor due to the poor flexibility of the printed matter due to the solid nature of the white wax after it is dried; Synthetic wax has better flexibility and tends to replace white wax. 7、 Plate printing glazing plate printing glazing uses plate to make a medium, which can polish a print by using water-based, oil-based and UV glazing oil through plate printing. Its advantage is that it can be locally and comprehensively polished, and the thickness of the glazing film can be controlled by controlling the thickness of the plate film and adjusting the solid content of the glazing oil. Moreover, the diversified selection of glazing oil can also meet various special needs, and the object of glazing is not limited. The products after glazing are excellent in flatness, gloss, etc., which can be called a combination of the surface characteristics of various coating glazing. PP glazing is made of solid film polymerized from propylene as the substrate and pasted by hot pressing table, which has excellent antifouling and moisture resistance. According to the film surface, it can be divided into bright surface, fog surface and embossing glazing. The glazing of bright surface has a bright glass luster effect; It is a high-quality glazing production. While the fog surface is polished, its surface is specially treated to produce a material like effect, and the surface is soft, non reflective and soft to touch; In print design, it is often used in special ways of expression. The third kind is embossing glazing, which has a special pattern on the surface with a strong sense of stimulation. The thickness of adhesive film on printed matter has the illusion of special paper, which is a special design expression. 9、 PVC glazing is made of PVC by hot pressing. It can be divided into thin and thick according to the thickness of the film. The thickness of thin material is about 0.02mm; Surface colloid 4. Control system maintenance: regularly check whether the connecting wire of the rear panel of the controller is in good contact, thick and transparent; Excellent antifouling, moisture resistance and wear resistance. It is a commonly used glazing method in the early stage, which is cumbersome and time-consuming for the production process; The charge is about two times that of PP glazing
