The application of Emerson TD3300 frequency converter in tension control

In this tension control system, not only the requirements of tension controller are quite high, but also the requirements of frequency converter are very high. The frequency converter should not only have a fast response time, but also have a well adjusted filter time for analog quantity. Therefore, the control cost is not only high, but also inconvenient in field debugging. Therefore, a tension control scheme using Emerson TD3300 frequency converter to replace the tension controller is proposed

according to the introduction of the supplier, Emerson TD3300 frequency converter has two common and mature options when doing tension control scheme: first, open-loop tension control factor 1: torque mode of force value sensor of electronic tensile testing machine; The second is the speed mode of closed-loop tension control. The open-loop tension control mode does not need tension feedback, and the system configuration is few, but the tension control accuracy is slightly low, and the tension control effect is not as good as that at steady speed when accelerating or decelerating. The closed-loop tension control mode requires tension feedback, but it can keep the tension constant in the whole acceleration and deceleration and steady speed operation. In view of this, we decided to adopt the closed-loop tension control mode of TD3300 tension control inverter

when selecting the closed-loop tension control speed mode of TD3300 frequency converter, f3.06=1 must be selected first in the parameters of TD3300 frequency converter. Loosen the fixed handle on the electromagnet rod with your left hand. As we all know, the TD3300 series frequency converter has three analog input terminals, and each terminal has its own independent filtering time. At the same time, the bulb will flash at the moment of discharge. Set the signal type (voltage, current, etc.) received by the terminal through the function code. In this scheme, the actual tension signal detected by the tension sensor is connected to a tension display table, which can convert the sensor signal into different types of analog signals (V, V, ± 10V, etc.), and then send it to the frequency converter as a tension feedback signal. The connection form is shown in figure (II)

it is assumed that the actual operation frequency of the winder is set as F, and in the actual operation, f=f1+ FPID, F1: is the synchronous frequency. In this scheme, the analog output from the frequency converter of the hot rolling mill is used as the synchronous frequency after the calculation of mechanical transmission ratio, front and rear rollers, drums and other parameters; FPID is the calculated frequency obtained by the frequency converter after PID operation. When TD3300 inverter carries out PID calculation, it must ensure that there are two conditions, namely tension feedback and tension setting. Connect the synchronous frequency from the frequency converter output of the hot rolling mill to the TD3300 analog port Ai1, and connect the analog from the tension meter to the TD3300 analog port AI2 as tension feedback. There are different ways to give the tension: it can be given directly by panel f8.02, it can be given by PROFIBUS digital communication, and it can also be given manually by analog potentiometer ai3. Under different process requirements, set different tension set values. The actual tension value of the system can be directly displayed on the tension meter after passing through the tension sensor for process personnel to monitor. The specific connection is shown in figure (III)

ai1, AI2 and ai3 all have corresponding function codes to select, which are f6.00, f6.01 and f6.02 respectively, and there are also corresponding function codes f6,03 to adjust the filtering time. No matter processing V-shaped or U-shaped gaps, there is no need to change the tool, f6,04 and f6,05

synchronization frequency: Ai1 can be determined by FC group parameters, which determine its linear speed type and maximum linear speed. In this way, once calibrated, the hot rolling mill and the winder are basically synchronized, which lays the foundation for future PID operations (fc0.00 linear speed input selection, fc0.03 maximum linear speed input, etc.)

tension feedback: AI2 can use F7 group parameters to determine the selection of feedback channel (f7.02 is the selection of feedback)

tension setting: ai3 can use F8 group parameters to determine whether the given quantity is given manually, by the panel, by the analog potentiometer, or by PROFIBUS digital communication (f8.00 is the coiling mode, f8.01 tension selection, f8.02 tension digital setting, f8.03 maximum tension, etc.).
